About Navratri Durga Puja

Navratri · meaning "nine nights" · is one of the most celebrated Hindu festivals, honoring Goddess Durga in her nine forms (Navadurga). Each day of Navratri is dedicated to a different form: Shailaputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kalaratri, Mahagauri, and Siddhidatri. In Bangalore, families from both Karnataka (South Indian) and North Indian communities celebrate Navratri with equal fervor | Gopuja offers tradition-specific rituals for both.

📅 When to perform

Sharada Navratri (September–October) and Chaitra Navratri (March–April) are the two main Navratris. Vijayadashami (Dussehra) on the 10th day completes the celebration. The single-day express puja is ideal for those who cannot do all nine days.

Frequently asked questions

Can I book a single-day Navratri puja instead of all 9 days?

Yes. We offer a consolidated single-day Navratri puja covering all Navadurga forms, ideal for those with time constraints. The blessings are equally powerful.

What is Ayudha Puja and should I include it?

Ayudha Puja (also called Saraswati Puja) involves blessing your tools, vehicles, and instruments on Ashtami or Navami. It is highly popular in Bangalore · we recommend including it, especially for business owners and professionals.

Do you offer Navratri puja for Chaitra Navratri as well?

Yes. We serve both Sharada Navratri (Oct) and Chaitra Navratri (Apr). Booking in advance is recommended as our pandits fill up quickly during festival season.
