Please read these terms before booking a puja or using gopuja.com. They are written in plain language. If anything is unclear, message us on WhatsApp and we will explain.
1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of gopuja.com and to every service you book with Gopuja Vedic Private Limited(“Gopuja”, “we”, “us”), whether through the website, WhatsApp, phone or email. By using the website or booking a service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Our services
We arrange:
- pandits to perform pujas, homas, samskaras and other Vedic rituals at your home, office, temple or venue in Bangalore, Mysore and nearby areas;
- puja samagri kits, delivered with a booking or on their own;
- online pujas performed on your behalf, and recurring (nitya) puja subscriptions;
- muhurat and ritual guidance.
Descriptions, durations and inclusions on the website are a general guide. The exact scope of your puja is the one confirmed with you on WhatsApp before booking.
3. Booking and confirmation
A booking is confirmed only when we send you a confirmation on WhatsApp (or by phone / email) with the puja, date, time, venue and price. Submitting a form or sending an enquiry does not by itself confirm a booking.
Please give us accurate details, especially the venue address, date and any sankalpa information. We are not responsible for problems caused by incorrect information.
4. Prices and payment
- Prices on the website are starting prices. Your final itemised quote is shared on WhatsApp before you commit.
- Unless stated otherwise, the quote includes pandit dakshina, the standard samagri kit and travel within our main service areas. A travel supplement may apply for satellite towns; it is always quoted upfront.
- We accept cash, UPI, bank transfer (IMPS / NEFT) and card. For regular bookings part is usually paid on kit delivery and the balance after the puja.
- Large homas, weddings and multi-day rituals may need a booking deposit (typically 10–20%) to reserve the date.
- Extra items, extra pandits or extended rituals requested on the day are charged separately at the rates we tell you.
- Any dakshina you choose to offer over and above the quoted price is voluntary.
5. Rescheduling, cancellation and refunds
Rescheduling, cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
6. Your responsibilities on puja day
- Make sure the pandit can access the venue at the confirmed time, and that a family member is present.
- For homas and any ritual involving fire, provide a safe, ventilated space, and obtain any permission needed from your apartment association, landlord or venue. Follow the pandit's safety instructions; you are responsible for fire safety at your premises.
- Arrange any items the confirmation says you will provide (for example fresh flowers, fruits or prasad, if not included).
- Treat pandits and delivery staff with courtesy. We may stop a service if anyone's safety or dignity is at risk.
7. Pandits and ritual practice
Our pandits are experienced Vedic practitioners selected and verified by Gopuja. We assign a pandit of the tradition and language you ask for, subject to availability. If an assigned pandit becomes unavailable, we may send another pandit of the same tradition and will tell you beforehand.
Rituals are performed according to the shastra and the customs of the chosen tradition. Where family customs differ, please tell us in advance and the pandit will follow them where appropriate.
8. Spiritual outcomes
Pujas, homas, dosha remedies and muhurat guidance are religious and spiritual services performed in good faith. We do not promise or guarantee any particular result, health, financial, marital, legal or otherwise. They are not a substitute for medical, legal, financial or other professional advice.
9. Puja samagri kits
Kit contents may vary slightly by season and availability; we substitute items of equal or better quality where needed. Natural products such as flowers and leaves vary in look and size. Please check the kit on delivery and report any issue within 24 hours.
10. Online pujas and media
For online pujas we perform the ritual on your behalf and share a live stream, recording or photographs as agreed. Stream quality depends on internet connectivity at both ends. With your permission we may photograph or film a puja; we will never publish images of you or your family without your consent.
11. Using this website
All content on gopuja.com, text, puja guides, stotras, images, logos and design, belongs to Gopuja Vedic Private Limited or is used with permission. You may read and share it for personal, non-commercial use with a link back to the page. You may not copy the site, scrape it, or republish its content commercially without our written permission.
Festival dates, muhurat timings and panchang information are provided in good faith for general guidance. Regional calendars differ; please confirm the muhurat for your specific puja with us before you plan around it.
Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a booking is limited to the amount you paid us for that booking. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for delays or cancellations caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as extreme weather, strikes, traffic disruption, civil unrest, government restrictions or illness.
13. Privacy
We handle your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. We will always try to resolve a concern with you directly first, please contact us using the details below. Any dispute that cannot be resolved this way is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when your booking was confirmed applies to that booking.
