About Satyanarayana Puja

The Satyanarayana Puja is one of the most beloved and widely performed pujas in Hindu households. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu as Satyanarayana (the true lord of the universe), this puja is performed to seek his blessings for prosperity, family happiness, and fulfillment of sincere prayers. 🌴 South Indian

South Indian tradition includes elaborate Vishnu Sahasranama recitation, Tulasi archana with 108 names, and Panchamrita abhishekam. Prasad (Sheera/Panakam) is distributed to all.

North Indian tradition centers on the Satyanarayana Katha (story reading from Skanda Purana), Panch Amrit puja, and Naivedyam with panchaphala and sheera. The Katha is read in Hindi.
